Last Saturday night I wore these blue beauties. I bought them early January full price from Next … they hadn’t gone in the sale but when I see that cobalt blue I’m like a magpie. They are the sock boot style which to be honest I anticipated two things .. 1. that I wouldn’t be able to get them on and 2. if I did they would be super uncomfortable. I was wrong on both counts. I mean, I don’t think I could wear them on a shopping spree but for going out out they are brilliant.
So wearing them last weekend got me thinking about boots for Autumn.
I love Summer and by the way didn’t we get a fabulous one here in the UK? All those lovely. long, balmy evenings drinking g&ts out in the garden were blissful.
I also love it when we get that first nip in the air and we can start thinking about boots again. I’m a boot girl for sure.
This season firstly, I’m after a black, suede slouchy pair with a mid size heel. I’ve been looking at these from Next. I’m a bit concerned that the reviews say they are difficult to get on but I’ll order them and see.
I started hyper ventilating when I spotted them in teal!! Regular readers will know about my new love affair with the colour teal from my recent dress purchase.
As I like the sock boot style there are also a leopard print version that have caught my eye.
I’m a massive fan of every day comfort but I like to look a bit quirky at the same time. I love this biker trend that I noticed coming through last Winter mainly at Zara but now other brands have latched onto. This pair are Kurt Geiger. One of my favourites at the moment since I fell in love with their rainbow range.
I could see me wearing these ALL the time.
Talking about Zara .. I knew they would have some similar. These are more than half the price of the Kurt Geiger ones.
Which do you prefer?
Boots wise there’s not much else I like at Zara at the moment which is very unusual. We’ll see what else comes in soon.
River Island have jumped on the trend and I’m getting the feels for this pair.
I’ve fallen in love with these tartan beauties From Marks & Spencer. I think they’d look fab with black or denim. I’ve actually bought a pair of trousers in the same red tartan that I can’t wait to wear. Tartan is a bit like leopard. The fashion editors usually advise us to keep to just one ‘out there’ item per an outfit. By that they mean just boots or a scarf or your bag bag, for instance. However, I like breaking rules as really they are no rules in my book … do what you want I say. 😉
They are online only which Marks & Spencer seem to be doing more and more of lately.
Top Shop have caught my eye with these red ‘magician’ boots. How quirky — those heels? Not practical at all but I love a good mix of quirky in my wardrobe, don’t you? That’s my look really. Quirky on top!
I’m a bit in love with these as well from Toppers. I wouldn’t buy them .. too high for me even just from car to restaurant but it doesn’t stop me looking. They remind me of the trend Stella McCartney sparked many years ago. I had a copy of them i think from Dorothy Perkins. Anyone remember? Not that I had a pair lol … the real McM?
You might’ve noticed I haven’t featured one of the biggest boot trends this Autumn ….. snakeskin’.
I’ve struggled even to type the word ‘snakeskin’ … twice now!!!
I’ve got a phobia so as much as there are some fab boots out there .. I can’t feature them here!
We all have our things …
Finally, if money was no object you’d find me strutting my stuff in these;
I’d love to know what you’ve bought or thinking of buying to add your boots collection.
