I actually feel undressed without my earrings. Does anyone else feel like that? Just as I couldn’t walk over the doorstep without a spritz of my favourite fragrance I also could’t cross it with empty earlobes. Incidentally, my current go-to fragrances still have to contain Oud as I suggested in this post almost a year ago now. My love affair hasn’t waned.
I was having a sort out of my jewellery box over the weekend which I do from time to time as I’m a one for messing it up when I’m searching for favourites in a hurry. As I was sorting out it struck me how long I have had some of them and the memories they hold for me. It also struck me just how ‘full on’ my favourites are.
Both these clip on pairs were given as gifts from Mr B … I think the black and silver beauties were originally to go with a ball gown many moons ago. I still love them and have worn them many times and they always make me feel good.
Until I started writing this blog and curating my Instagram feed I never knew how much I loved colour. I always thought black was my colour of choice for everything. Clearly, I do like black but it seems I do love a colour pop in everything including my home. Check out my sitting room here and I think you’ll get the drift.
I was recently asked to choose a pair of earrings from Eternal Collection and once again I go and choose like a magpie a pair of their finest bling! They seem to have sold out but they do have a ‘big and bold collection’ … must’ve made it just for me!
I was ecstatic when chandelier earrings became a thing again and became more readily available on the high street. I wouldn’t put them in my jewellery box (a) because there isn’t room and (b) because I like to look at them on a daily basis. Call me cray!!
These below are a recent Zara purchase. There are so many Zara earrings that I could buy right now. I have to really try hard to resist.
This is the result of my weekend tidy out. I wonder how long it will take to get messy again? There are another 2 drawers to my jewellery box mostly rings and earrings. It feels good to have a sort out.
I’m quite an introvert really but my blogging journey has shown me two important aspects of my personality … one that as I said I love colour more than I realised and two that I like my accessories to do the talking for me.
What do your accessories say about you? I’d love to hear from you.
