You Can Never Have Too Many Pairs Of Shoes

My husband will never understand why I have so many pairs of shoes and does he even need to? He thinks its one of those ‘Men are from Mars and women are from Venus’ things.

The thing I love about shoes is that unlike your dress size your shoes will nearly always fit you. Well, that isn’t strictly true. I went down a half size about five years ago when I lost over three stones doing an iron man triathlon in California. Yes, you read it right. I think I should document that story on here, maybe. It was my 50th birthday treat to myself!

I do have a purge every now and then but usually  Mr B would always say I have too many but what is too many in his eyes is not enough in mine.

Here’s some of my recent favourites and some I keep putting in my shopping basket on various  sites.

These red shoes are a recent find on asos. Sadly, they are sold out but it was the first time I had come across the brand, Raid.

I was worried that they wouldn’t fit. I’m a size 40 and this is one of those brands that only does full sizes e,g. 6 and 7. But they did fit me and I did go to the ball!

It’s not a brand I would say is a new go to but there are the odd show stoppers I would definitely go for like these yellow tassel beauties.

Whenever I see anything in this shade of cobalt blue I’m like a magpie. These suede heels recently became mine  … I wear them with black for work wear as seen here with my old bag from Fenwicks Newcastle and my Top Shop trousers that I just can’t stop wearing. I first told you about them here.

I took the first pair back as stupidly I didn’t take in that they were part of the M&S wide fit range. I was happy to find that the 39 fit perfectly.  They also have their special footbed;

“redistributes your weight away from the balls of your feet, reducing pressure and increasing ankle stability, allowing you to wear your heels comfortably all day long. Insolia® is endorsed by the UK College of Podiatrists.”

The price is even better at just £19.50 … style, comfort and budget friendly … well done Sparks. They also come in two other colours; yellow suede and silver metallic.

Feeling the love for these too from M&S at £25.00 that I just might have to have soon.

Air & Grace London is a fabulous brand that I learned about through hanging around on Instagram. I honestly could buy every single pair of trainers and espadrilles … they are what dreams are made of.

It’s hard to choose but if I had to then these espadrilles would be top contenders.

They are priced £99.00 and £129.00 respectively. It’s my birthday this month .. how lovely would it be if anyone reading this post might take the hint {hint, hint}?

Isn’t it funny how once you start documenting things you ‘see’ things you didn’t realise about yourself?

I clearly have a thing for  ankle ties and bright colours in my choice of footwear at the moment.

Ooooooh those blue shoes – gorgeous!!!! I might even have to erm. investigate a little bit further. I love a shoe and my weakness is for a DM – their chelsea boots are fantastic for winter, I also have a blue velvet pair and an arty pair with reclining renaissance ladies – please don’t judge me. I also love Camper when they are on sale and M&S shoes are actually really good too. I wouldn’t say I have heaps of shoes but I have a “type”… now handbags – they are also wonderful and always fit whatever ones size

As you said there is no such thing as too many pairs of shoes. I purged a few weeks ago and passed 15 pairs on to my sister. I am not a fan of ankle laces, I have thick ankles but I love colorful shoes.

I don’t think my ankles are the slimmest these days but I don’t care ha! Good to have a purge isn’t it? xo

I have to own up – I have bought a pair of those pretty blue M&S shoes, they are so cute – I guess it is like you have started a secret society of the blue shoe as I doubt I’m the only one who succumbed πŸ™‚

With the raid shoes, did you go for size 6 or 7, being a size 40? They look great – many thanks…

I got the size 6, Zoe, wishing them like an ugly sister to fit and they were perfect. The 7 would’ve swamped me in this particular brand. xo
