Renovation Update & Lots Of Love For My Latest New Prints

Lots _Of _Love _For _My _Latest _New _Prints

I’ve been meaning to share my latest new wall prints for a while. Many of you will know that we are on the never ending journey that is a Victorian renovation.

We haven’t done anything yet this year house wise and we won’t be for while, either. In two weeks time Mr B is going into hospital for a knee replacement so he’ll be out of action for a while. It’s not a bad thing though, to stop full pelt on the house. I think we need to slow down a bit. I’m very, very busy with work and so the thought of the house being upside down as well just isn’t doing it for me.

It’s funny isn’t it this midlife thing and how it changes your perspective on things? Once over in our earlier homes, I would have been killing us both to do everything. Now the house, although still very important but just not as much.

Hopefully, we’re going to spend some money on a holiday instead while he’s recuperating. The sun will do his healing no end of good.

One way that I can still feel as if we are making changes to the house though, for me, is buying MORE prints. I’d had my eye on this Punk Royale from Desenio for a while.

I had a delivery man compliment her the other day. He said that he hopes I don’t mind but he loves looking through my window at her when he brings a parcel. He loves Liz’s tattoos. In his words, ‘she looks class!’

Since adding our stamp to the house I’ve also acquired a bit of a love of the macabre Victorian style. My Queen Victoria Skull print is a little awesome isn’t she? Well, I think she is. I do realise she might be sitting in the ‘marmite’ camp.

She’s from one of my favourite online print stores; ink & drop.

The other thing I wanted to share with you was this print from Next.

Tempest _by _Loui _Jover _Canvas

I’m always getting asked both online and from real life visitors where the gorgeousness that lives on my chimney breast wall is from. I bought her from Barker & Stonehouse but it sold out a while ago. She’s a decent size: W85 x D3.8 x H120 cms and hence why I guess she is such a talking point.

The Next one is W60 x D4 x 80 cms so not quite as big. It is still a canvas like mine and is less than half the price so definitely a good buy and one I would make had I not already got the slightly  bigger one. At time of publishing this there’s a 2-3 week wait once you order.

Let Me Know If Any Of You Buy Her.

I’d Also Love To Hear What Type Of Prints You Love.

That’s very kind of you to say, Kerry. There is so much more choice these days to be able to unleash our personalities more easily into our homes isn’t there? xo
